I know what you are thinking already. I’m not writing this to add more to an already full plate.
The fact is you were not always like this. Were you?
At some stage in your life, you use to have time for yourself.
You see, we create habits at different times in our lives. Go back to the days of school, then when we leave school, when we are single, when we are in a relationship and then again when we get married, get a new employment contract or position and the big bang when we have children!
If you find it a challenge to create a schedule or a routine that gives you space to lock in for yourself then you need to start with the ‘schedule’ itself.
Yes, this is where you are creating a new habit (that serves you) and this process is to take place outside your head.
Get your thinking on paper (it maybe old school but the blackboard was always a good teacher)
List and take a look at the non- negotiables, negotiables, re-occurring and start prioritising. Group them, time block them into your daily planner to be even more time efficient. Delegate, delete or diarise the tasks and you may even see where you are actually being busy being busy and wasting time that could really be yours.
Now is a great time to design a new habit making a few adjustments to include you.
