You have a list of things you need to do, but then you procrastinate.
You are always running out of time, and you are unable to focus on what truly makes you happy.
You are always feeling tired and unprepared whenever you sit down to start a task.
Sound familiar? We all suffer from a lack of motivation from time to time. But how do you get out of the slump?
Today I’m going to share with you some ways to find some motivation again.
We’re going to ignite your fire with three easy ways to get motivated instantly.
Are you ready?
One: Use your phone as a motivation tool
Set a reminder in your phone to alert you with a message like “It’s time to get your happy on!” or “Smile, it’s motivation time”. This technique is used in NLP to create an anchor by pairing a specific stimulus with an emotional response. When we set the phone to randomly go off throughout the day, (could be two to three times) with a particular tune and message, our mind is triggered into feeling motivated. It can also be used as a “friendly reminder” to get motivated and to put a smile on our face. We carry our phones on us at all times, so why not use them as a motivation tool?

Two: Take yourself out to breakfast or lunch.
Find some time to take yourself out for a meal- YOU DESERVE IT! Now here’s the catch, leave your devices at home. Just take an A4 piece of paper and a pen so you can evaluate what’s going on with you. Write down the one thing you are not doing – that if you did do – it would make the most significant difference to your life right now. Find out what your hesitations are- is it limiting fears, is it limiting emotions, is it simply because you don’t know how to do it. Decide what needs to be done for this to change. Will you need to delegate these tasks or do you need to find somebody such as a life coach or business coach/consultant to assist you from A-Z. Whatever you need to, enjoy a long lunch and a moment to build a roadmap to change.
Three: Organise your life.
Check in with yourself and ask, am I really as organised as I could be? What else could you be doing to make your day run smoothly? Often when we are unorganised, or unmotivated, it could be that we aren’t sure unconsciously which task we should be doing first. Do the research, list out the tasks that need to be done and prioritise them. What really needs to be done? Only choose three things that NEED to be done and make sure you succeed in getting them done for that day. Completing a list of tasks and seeing results can kickstart motivation and make you feel a sense of accomplishment. It also can remove the overwhelming feeling when we can break our tasks down into smaller tasks.
